Open Call brings to you an outlet for your dancer to perform in a professional environment dedicated to providing educational and unique opportunities for dancers of all ages. Our attendees, in addition to medals, win scholarships and prestigious awards while establishing meaningful industry connections.

#1 Open Call Competition Question
What is the difference between TITLE Solo Division and Solo Division?
Title solos compete for Lead Role Title in their age division (Petite, Junior, Pre Teen, Teen, Senior) . Regular solos compete for High Score in their age division (Petite, Junior, Pre Teen, Teen, Senior).
BOTH Title and regular solos will compete for Overall High Score (12&under OR 13&up solo, duo, trios).
The only way to receive Lead Role title is to score 189 (Black Diamond adjudication) or higher. Those who do not get a black diamond are eligible for 1st and 2nd Understudy in title division.
Lead Role dancers who place either Understudy or Lead Role receive t-shirts with their title and other OC memorabilia. Lead Role also winners receive a glam gear backpack and a glass plaque.

Do you accept Independent entries? How can I register?
Yes, we do accept Independent entries! Please register here - You will be asked to create a "Studio Owner" account which you may list your current studio or your dancer's name.
Does my son/daughter need a waiver form?
It is required to return a signed waiver for each participating dancer and teacher that is registered. Download a waiver here!
How do I know what age division my son/daughter should perform in?
ALL AGES FOR REGIONAL AND NATIONAL EVENTS ARE AS OF JANUARY 1 of that regional year.

We offer 15 different category divisions to select from.

When will the doors open at the competition?
Doors will open 1 hour before each competition start time. If the competition begins at 9:00AM the doors will open at 8:00AM.
Can anyone attend the competition?
Open Call Dance Competition is FREE to the public.
Can I videotape and/or photograph my son/daughter's performance?
Videotaping and photography of any kind are strictly prohibited throughout the entire event. We will have a professional videographer/photographer on-site that you may purchase your video and pictures from.
